NC League of Municipalities' President appoints members to the Nominating Committee, which is tasked with identifying a slate of officers upon which Voting Delegates vote.

The 2024 nominating and election process will run from March 1- March 31, 2024. The process will include regular updates to the election website and member outreach to ensure a transparent and inclusive approach.

Each year, voting delegates select several open Board positions including officers (President, Vice President, and 2nd Vice President), District Directors, Affiliate Representatives, Managers, Clerk, Attorney, and others.

As a member-led and member-driven organization, electing strong leadership is an essential member responsibility. The League's Board of Directors represents a diverse group of cities and towns of all sizes, from the mountains to the coast. Working together with the entire membership, the Board is dedicated to representing the interests of all members and leading the League as one voice for cities and towns working for a better North Carolina.

This year, candidate interest forms are available online, and NCLM will be sharing Candidate Profiles with the membership and Nominating Committee based on information included in the interest forms.
