- ACP stopped accepting new applications and enrollments on February 8, 2024.
- If you’re a NYCHA resident enrolled in Big Apple Connect, your service is not affected.
- With ACP, you can get a:
- Service discount: up to $30 off each month on an internet plan and equipment rentals.
- Device discount: up to $100 off for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (you will need to pay a copay between $10 and $50).
- You do not need to be a U.S. citizen or have a Social Security Number (SSN) to be eligible.
- When enrolling for internet service through the ACP with an internet provider:
- The provider might check your credit. However, they cannot use the result of the credit check to prevent you from enrolling in the ACP.
- A provider cannot decline to enroll you just because you owe money to another internet provider.
