Before You Begin: This form is for NON-EMERGENCY reporting. If this is an emergency that involves an imminent risk of harm to self or others, please call 911. The CARE Team does not respond directly to emergencies.
The CARE Referral Form is the college's formal process to inform the Dean of Students Office and the CARE Team of student behaviors that are concerning, worrisome, or threatening in the areas of personal, physical, psychological, emotional, and personal well-being. Any Davidson College student, faculty, staff, parent/relative, or community member may submit a referral form. Students may also submit this form on their own behalf if seeking support services, resources and referrals.
Once your CARE Referral Form is submitted it is routed to the Dean of Students Office. The CARE Team meets regularly, reviews the information you provide, takes the most appropriate action and makes the necessary referrals and interventions to support the student. Every effort is made to meet with the referred student in a timely manner. The reporter may receive a follow up email once contact has been made with the student.
*If your concerns are related specfically to dating violence, domestic violence, sexual or gender-based harassment, sexual misconduct, stalking and/or related retaliation, please contact Carley Dix, Title IX Coordinator and Section 504 Coordinator at cadix@davidson.edu.
