Planned Parenthood - San Ramon

I have been visiting Planned Parenthood in San Ramon for a decade, and they are nothing short of incredible. I adore this location and the team. Over the years, they've provided warm, safe, and professional care, and I am so deeply thankful to each employee there. Most recently, the amazing Debbie (along with the lovely Mary) provided the best care to me that I could possibly imagine. Thank you so much to the hardworking, caring folks at Planned Parenthood San Ramon; your compassion and work are appreciated beyond what words can convey.

Honestly I love coming to planned parenthood for my check ups and I really feel like they really look at you as an individual. Especially for women I feel like they take real good care of you and really try to understand what's going on with your body.

For most people they think planned parenthood is only for abortions but they provide so many other services!! Such as birth control, STD testing, pregnancy test, treatments and even have check ups for pregnant women. So it's way more than just a place for abortion. They provide medication for you right then and there no need to go to a pharmacy (depending on your insurance).

I personally love coming to this location because they always have an appointment available. Today's visit I was in and out within an hour!! Everyone there was nice and very helpful and very informative as well! This facility is very clean like always and definitely my go-to clinic.

Why set up an appointment if I have to wait over 1hr to see the doctor?

Besides the ridiculous long wait, the girl at the front desk definitely doesn't enjoy her current occupation. My dear, I'm not going to mention your name but you need to learn to treat people better, her attitude is disrespectful, frustrating and is even dare to say, racist.

Incompetence rules this place... worst experience I've ever had with planned parenthood...

I want to start out by saying I love this Planned Parenthood location. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. NURSE SHAUNTIE made the whole experience something I'll never forget. She's absolutely amazing, and made me feel soo comfortable. She had my boyfriend and I laughing especially me the whole time I haven't laughed like that in a long time. I laughed soo much and soo hard I was tearing. She is the most sweetest, loving, funny, amazing, wonderful nurse I've ever had in my life. She really left an empact on me. I wish she could be my midwife for when I become pregnant because of how comforting she was. She makes you feel like family. She deserves a huge raise!!! I was so nervous going in to my appointment but she made it feel like a safe space, and was so encouraging, and patient with me. I wish I could give more stars!!! I hope I can find someone with the same energy as her. I don't think I ever will though. She is someone rare. I've had horrible experiences in the past with doctors and nurses and they seem like they hate their job, and always rushing. But with Shauntie, she'll make you feel warm and fuzzy. SHE'S THE BEST!!!! Words just can't describe how amazing my experience was. Highly recommend requesting her if possible!!! Thank you for the best experience I've ever had. I don't live around here, but if I ever need to I will commute so I could come here again.

Terrible they treat you as if it's like a dmv or ordering food I arrive time I'm told they say u can sit first off I'm not a dog you can politely say please have a seat I'll call you when I'm ready. 10 min later I'm still sitting I'm having extreme bad side/back pain due to kidney infection I'm so nauseous and I when I called earlier to make that appointment they hung up on me this is a Fr office and the person ahead of me is talking about her cats and her weight loss meanwhile I'm dizzy and in hell of pain I'm so angry.

I am so incredibly in Aw about how wonderful this experience was for me! Every single person who helped me today made me feel so comfortable and they were so supportive and sweet. I went in very nervous and I just can't believe how amazing my experience was. I would absolutely recommend going here if you need any type of help with anything. I'm writing this review in my car in the parking lot because I just had to tell my experience to help others out there who are a nervous wreck like I was because they will make you feel so so so comfortable. Megan was the nurse and I can't quite remember the wonderful lady's name who was my doctor today but omg she was a delight . When I remember her name I'll come back to edit my review. Thank you ladies for everything

As a new patient to Planned Parenthood, I'm relieved and impressed by how well-run, clean, and professional the clinic is!

I was in need of a TB test and wanted an STI check done. Admittedly, I was nervous to go because I am uninsured and generally have terrible experiences with most healthcare settings. Thankful my mind was put at ease immediately by a kind staff member, Carlos, who talked me through my options for care and helped me sign up for Family Pact (thank you California tax payers!) to pay for my services.

My intake person was very respectful. I am queer, so I appreciated that planned parenthood asks questions that are gender-inclusive. It took less than 5 mins after my intake until a clinician saw me! This is the fastest turn around I've ever experienced.

Although I still kind of hate going to the doctor, I know if I need care Planned Parenthood is my new favorite option!

Very clean and professional facilities. Surprising for a Planned Parenthood, because its cleaner than some hospitals I've been to!

The staff are also very knowledgeable and courteous.

Pro Tip: If your insurance is not accepted here, be advised that their prices here in this network (Cities from here and north to SF) are significantly cheaper than compared to the Planned Parenthood East Bay Locations. I went to an East Bay location after coming here, thinking the East Bay location would accept my insurance but was later declined there for having an HMO. I ended up coming back here because the price was about half. crazy right!?

Very large waiting room. There's only a couple check-in counters so that can get pretty backed up when its busy. That would probably be my only complaint from this location.

Dear planned parenthood, maybe if your workers took their job seriously they wouldn't have to deal with people like me disturbing the office along with locking your doors and brushing off people's health like they don't matter. Keep it up and there's more 2 come Oh And scheduling my appointment when my insurance expired really puts the cherry on top! Have these "workers" do their fucking job correctly and respectfully or y'all gonna go out of business! Better start re training these people AGAIN.. because this doesn't look good :D

This is my favorite planned parenthood facility. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The nurses seem to genuinely care for their patients. It is rare to share a laugh or two with a nurse or a doctor but I'm glad I found that here. Total none judgment environment. Shout out to Elizabeth for making my visits super comfortable and safe.
