Antiracism statement

The College of Liberal Arts unequivocally rejects white supremacy, racism, and other forms of hate and bias. We will work to dismantle racism and discrimination on campus, in our communities, and in society as part of our shared efforts to elevate humanity. Affinity Groups

The College of Liberal Arts supports interdisciplinary affinity working groups that recommend new directions and action plans for creating optimal conditions for the continued growth and success of diverse students, faculty, and staff, as well as research, academic programming, outreach, and community engagement relevant to each group.

Diversity Speaker Series

This engaging speaker series addresses a variety of topics, from identity to religion, age to social justice, and more. Guest speakers will inspire conversation around sometimes difficult subjects to motivate encounters with different viewpoints and challenges to personal paradigms.

CLA diversity-funded events

The College of Liberal Arts Campus and Community Engagement Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee gladly accepts proposals to co-sponsor events that align with the mission of the College and/or the goals of the Engaging the Power of Diversity Speaker Series. For full consideration, complete proposals should be received by the first of each month so that the committee can review and vote on the proposal during its monthly meetings.
