Welcome to THE Beaverton High School
We are guided by four core values at Beaverton High School. These values are the framework for everything we do. They are our school's identity.
Community Connects Us
· We actively engage every member of the Beaverton High School community, students, staff, families, and our community partners in pursuit of our mission.
· Together we celebrate the diversity of our community and recognize it as one of our greatest strengths.
· We enhance our school and community through service and action.
Beaverton students point to the sense of community as one of our school’s greatest assets. Here are some highlights of how we strive to live out Community Connects Us:
· Beaver Lodge (our advisory) connects students and a teacher in caring communities for four years.
· In Social Studies courses, students complete 5 hours of community service each semester.
· 100 Link Crew leaders (grades 11 & 12) support freshmen transition activities throughout the year.
· Over 50 student clubs enhance our school culture.
· 95% of juniors believe BHS offers a wide variety of ways to be involved.
· Dozens of community partners collaborate to deliver needed resources to our students and their families.
· The Beaverton Family and Alumni Network (BFAN) connects hundreds of supporters to our school.
· Over the past 14 years, BHS raised over $250,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation during the annual Jam the Dam week.
· The BHS Success Fund raised over $4 million over the past five years to provide valuable support for our school, teachers, and students.
· Last fall we dedicated a new BHS Plaza and concession stand, funded by the Success Fund. This is now a wonderful space for our community to gather and celebrate.
Your role as a partner
· Keep up with what's going on at BHS.
· Volunteer if you are able. Attend our events and connect.
