Did you know that Carolina Forest International Elementary (CFIE) offers services for our academically or intellectually gifted (AIG) students? These students have unique needs that require differentiation from regular classroom instruction. The gifted program service options are designed to provide a comprehensive, advanced, and challenging course of study aimed to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of gifted learners.

School Net Assessments
Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will take their second 9-weeks assessments in reading, math, and Science (5th grade only). These assessments help the teachers monitor student mastery of the concepts taught for the previous 9 weeks. Testing begins Monday for the 5th graders and will be conducted over several days through Friday February 9, 2024. Make up testing will also be conducted if your child should be absent on his/her testing day.
ACCESS TESTING
Each year, students in our English learner programs take the ACCESS for ELLs language proficiency test. The test measures academic English language proficiency for students learning English in our school and throughout our state.
Teachers in our school use this information to help them make decisions about instruction for the English learner students, and their test scores monitor the progress of our English learner students make toward English proficiency.
Testing begins Monday, January 29, 2024.
Counselor Corner
Career Cafe
Mrs. Reinke, our Media Specialist, is offering lunchtime opportunities for our students to learn about careers, "The Career Cafe."
Students can sign up, bring their lunch and learn about specific careers for their future.
On Wednesday, January 31st, Ms. Jennifer Kellum will chat with the students. She is a travel advisor, a Disney planner and travels all over the world for her job.
