Creating Opportunity Together
A Thought or Two From Mr. Nieslanik
The past week has filled my bucket. There are Skyhawks back in the building! It has been simply a wonderful start to In-Person Hybrid instruction. I do know there have been some learning curves that our teachers have faced, but our students have been so patient as their teachers navigate this new wrinkle into their year. The students who are in the building have followed all of our asks, kept their masks on, and have maintained social distancing more than I thought they would. To those of you who stayed in CDL for the remainder of the year, it has been fun for me to see you through your screens as I wander the building. Even though you are not physically in the building, you are still part of our whole community. Keep up the good work. I thank each and every one of you, and each and every one of our students.
Take care, be well.
David
Essential Skill requirement for all Juniors
As you may have heard, the State of Oregon has waived the Essential Skill requirement for all Juniors (Class of 2021). This means that this year, Statewide testing for Juniors is not required.
If you would like your child to participate in Statewide testing, we will be testing on Wednesday, May 19 and May 26 from 9:45 - 12:45. Transportation will be provided if needed.
If you do not want your child to take the tests, parents and guardians can opt students out of testing. Deciding not to test will not affect your child's grades in any way.
To help us schedule transportation and deliver a safe and successful testing experience for every student, we need to know by April 30 whether your student will or will not participate. Please complete this form
