A Message From Principal Williams
March 3, 2023
Hello Washington Families,
I hope that you were able to enjoy some family time during mid-winter break. As we are wrapping up our first week back, we have been focused on re-establishing connections with our kids and getting back into the school groove. It is fantastic to have the hallways filled with noise and smiles again. we are also gearing up for a great community event with our annual food drive. This year we are teaming up grade levels for some friendly competition and our winning classes, the teams with the most food items, will have popcorn or an extra recess with the principals. We will begin collecting cash or food itemsMarch 13th-March 24th. We greatly appreciate your support and generosity for this local cause.
Also, our School Improvement team continues to work through the planning process reviewing school data and making recommendations for new action steps to support student growth and academic achievement. Part of this work has been to revise our mission statement and to write a vision statement. We are excited to share them with you.

Update from the Health Room
Washington Families,
This is a reminder that students should not be bringing medications from home and taking them on their own at school. This includes ALL over the counter medicine like cough drops, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, allergy medicines, and prescribed medications like inhalers etc. If your student needs to take medication during the school day, you will need to come to school and give it to them or fill out the proper paperwork with a doctor. The Authorization of Medication at School form is available at the school's office and on the Auburn School District Website. Any questions or concerns let the healthroom know!
Thank you,
Kandice Llera
