ACMA College and Career Planning
Information on College Career Planning can be found in a student’s grade level course on Canvas. Each high school grade level has a course called Class of 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 respectively, and the middle school courses are called ACMA All Grade 06, 07, and 08. For high schoolers, we add lots of helpful information to the “Class of” courses throughout the school year, such as career days, college rep *virtual* visits, college admission testing (ACT and SAT), free PCC classes, Career Ed credit information, college planning and financial aid, and more. Be sure to check your grade level canvas course regularly!
Career Information System (CIS)
CIS has a great new website for exploring careers and the steps needed to get there!
Students log into CIS (Career Information System) through Apps for Students on the BSD website. The activities in their grade level Career Plan are required for High School Career Ed Credit and their Student Educational Plan & Profile is printed out from CIS during senior year to meet state requirements.
The Explore Resources tab on CIS has a wealth of useful tools, including search tools for colleges and scholarships, information on dozens of occupations, and Learning Express - free academic help and ACT/SAT/AP practice tests - which can be found under Additional Tools.
