Welcome to THE Beaverton High School
We are guided by four core values at Beaverton High School. These values are the framework for everything we do. They are our school's identity.
Learning Transforms Us
· We recognize the power of education to shape the future of individuals.
· Students benefit from rigorous, engaging, and relevant education experiences.
· Highly talented teachers and staff foster academic achievement within communities of learners and are learners themselves
Here are some highlights of how Learning Transforms Us:
· Our academic program evolves to meet the changing nature of the knowledge and skills needed for the future.
· On Future Day, students get a glimpse of possibilities in the future by visiting college and business sites for the day.
· Enrichment opportunities during Beaver Lodge (our advisory) are engaging experiences for students.
· We encourage student involvement in athletics and activities as another way to learn valuable life skills.
· We offer supports that keep students moving forward and meet academic challenges.
· 34 Dual Credit courses give students the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school.
· Our career pathways manifest learning in dynamic real world experiences.
· Ongoing review and reflection of our programs, culture, and activities fosters continuous improvement in all areas.
Your role as our partner:
· Encourage students to accept any challenge as a learning experience and a chance to grow.
· Explore the Academic Planning Guide (on the BHS Webpage) to see the academic opportunities at BHS.
