Mount Conversion

SIGMA Corporation of America and SIGMA Japan will convert the current mount of your SIGMA Global Vision lens to another mount of your choice. SIGMA lenses from the current Art, Contemporary, or Sports lines are eligible for the Mount Conversion service. A lens can only be converted to a mount type that is offered by SIGMA for that specific lens. *Please check that lens’ product page to view mount availability. Mount Conversion service is subject to mount, parts, and service availability.

Mirrorless lenses in the APS-C format cannot be converted to Full Frame format. Similarly, Full Frame format lenses cannot be converted to APS-C.

Some conversion services are conducted directly by SIGMA Japan. In such an instance, your lens will be sent to Japan to be converted to the desired mount. Upon conversion completion, the lens will be returned to SIGMA Corporation of America who will, in turn, ship the lens directly back to the owner. The anticipated turnaround time for this service is 4 – 8 weeks.

To request a Mount Conversion, please include your request in the "Symptoms/Comments" section of the attached Online Repair Form below, along with the lens you would like to have converted, your current mount type, and the mount type that you would like to have installed. If you would like information on the pricing of the operation, or if you have any further questions regarding this service, please contact SIGMA's Service Department.

Chargeable installation service for the FHR-11 Rear Filter Holder of the SIGMA 14-24mm F2.8 DG HSM | Art (for Canon) and the SIGMA 14mm F1.8 DG HSM | Art (for Canon).

The FHR-11 Rear Filter Holder is an accessory exclusively designed for the SIGMA 14-24mm F2.8 DG HSM | Art (for Canon) and the SIGMA 14mm F1.8 DG HSM | Art (for Canon). It enables photographers to use a sheet filter on the lens.

Front Conversion

To support the needs of virtual reality creators engaged in multi-camera videography, SIGMA Corporation of America is offering a Front Conversion Service for the 14-24mm F2.8 DG HSM | Art lens. With this service, SIGMA converts the petal-type hood of the lens to an exclusive round component that lacks a light-blocking function. The new front helps prevent the lens from interfering with other lenses or from casting a visible shadow during multi-camera work. This is a complementary service performed exclusively by SIGMA Corporation of America at no charge. Use of the service has no impact on the validity of the product warranty.

Service Policies

Product Warranty
All brand-new SIGMA lenses purchased from a U.S. authorized SIGMA dealer are covered by a 4-Year Warranty against defects in manufacturing and workmanship only. (SIGMA fp cameras and CINE lenses come exclusively with a 1-Year Warranty.) Your warranty period begins the day you purchase your SIGMA camera, lens, and/or flash. (Please read the Service Policy and refer to the warranty policy included with your product for more information.)

Please note that the SIGMA warranty is valid only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

SIGMA Corporation of America offers a 90-day warranty for factory refurbished products.

Please register your new SIGMA product in order to activate your SIGMA 4-Year Warranty.

Grey Market
Any product that is not imported by SIGMA Corporation of America or that is purchased from an unauthorized SIGMA dealer will not be serviced under warranty regardless of the service required. The SIGMA Corporation of America Service Department will service these products for a minimum $250 charge in addition to the required parts and labor charges at the owner’s expense.

For more information, please review our Service and Support Policy or contact us directly.

Courtesy Updating
In today’s day and age of ever-changing technology, SIGMA will—at our discretion—offer software updates, if available, to the original purchaser of the equipment at no extra charge.  These updates are done as a courtesy and are not considered warranty repairs. The customer will be responsible for the shipping charges to and from SIGMA Corporation of America and/or authorized service centers.

If your SIGMA product works correctly with the equipment you owned when you purchased it, then your SIGMA product is not defective.  Outdated lenses may not work as expected with modern camera systems.

Impact Damage
We do our best to repair SIGMA products that have sustained damage due to impact, liquid, or other forces outside of normal use, but there is no guarantee that your item will function exactly as it did prior to damage. All service is performed using the most exacting methods within our control, but sustained damage to equipment may prohibit return to the original condition.

AF Data Adjustment

Due to extreme sensitivity of the mirror box in DSLR cameras, it may be necessary to have your lens adjusted to your own personal camera. This is a common issue with digital cameras and many companies have included micro focus adjustment capabilities on their high-end cameras to address this problem. If you are able to do this with your camera and lens combination, there is no need to send your equipment in for adjustment. This service is only offered for DSLR camera systems; there is no need to calibrate AF Data for mirrorless camera systems.
