San Antonio Legal Services Association (SALSA) is a corps of legal volunteers coordinated by professional staff to provide free civil legal services to those with limited means and those who are vulnerable or at-risk.

Program Areas

SALSA currently operates three priority program areas (Housing & Homelessness, Estates & Disability and Veterans Legal Services). We also take on special projects that involve critical community needs outside of our primary program areas. Our current special project includes the Don’t Bully Me Project (Cyberbullying).

  • supervise, and recruit as needed, program staff from a human capital perspective so that they are professionally competent for their responsibilities, fully integrated into SALSA as team members, and able to address personal and professional issues in a timely and positive manner;
  • lead and pioneer collaborative projects with partner organizations that build SALSA’s goodwill in the community and advances the values and goals of the program and SALSA;
  • manage administrative tasks in collaboration with their Pro Bono Coordinator for all program events, including bi-weekly Small Estates Clinic, bi-monthly Wills Clinic, monthly Deed Help Desk, occasional Transfer-on-Death Deed clinics, and extended representation cases referred through SALSA clinics; and
  • manage other tasks and projects as may be assigned by the Executive Director or Managing Attorney consistent with SALSA’s mission and values.

If hired, applicants should expect:

  • to be empowered as a professional in a management culture based on trust, shared values, and focus on client outcomes;

  • a J.D. and be licensed to practice law in the State of Texas;
  • an active membership with the San Antonio Bar Association;
