The Bioanthropology Research Institute uses a variety of paleoimaging tools and techniques to conduct research on mummified humans and animals and ancient artifacts without destruction.
What We Do
The Bioanthropology Research Institute is an interdisciplinary hub linking the study of biology, anthropology, archaeology and paleontology. The institute performs research on mummified humans, animals and ancient artifacts through applications such as diagnostic imaging, video endoscopy, photography, and laboratory analysis.
Ronald Beckett, professor emeritus of health sciences, Gerald Conlogue, professor emeritus of diagnostic imaging, and Jaime Ullinger, associate professor of anthropology, are the co-executive directors of the institute.
