Harrisburg logged more killings in 2020 than in 30 years; Cumberland County homicides doubled

Harrisburg recorded 22 homicides in 2020, making it the deadliest year for violence in the city in the past three decades.

The death toll represented a nearly 60-percent increase compared to 2019.
