Pennsylvania’s mobile COVID-19 testing and education operation will be outside the Harrisburg Housing Authority on Wednesday.
The 40-foot specialized RV will be parked at 1300 Community Drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It will provide COVID-19 tests to people who are feeling symptoms or who feel they may have been exposed. Officials say people will receive the results within about a day.
The staff will also provide information about things including COVID-19 symptoms, avoiding COVID-19, caring for someone who has it, and self-isolating for people who have been exposed.
The goal of the COVID-19 Mobile Response Unit, or CATE, is to take tests and information to underserved communities, especially Hispanics and Latinos.
No appointment is needed and tests are free.
