<strong>Hi there, my name is Treya and I make music.<br><br></strong><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/j69Wx9W9RAU" width="560"></iframe><div><br>I'm currently based in New York City and create music in many forms, primarily as a songwriter in the Chamber-Folk realm, but also as a producer and curator of live intimate experiences built around music. As a multi-instrumentalist [piano, viola, guitar] I am lucky to be able to support a variety of musicians and projects that I believe in, and am working towards becoming a film-score composer. This is the long path - but <strong>I believe so much in the importance of creating and supporting thoughtful, considered work that can help listeners slow down and appreciate the here and now.<br></strong><br>In 2018, I released my debut album Good News under Kaki King's label Short Stuff Records and embarked on my first national tour. <a href="https://fanlink.to/TreyaLamGoodNews">You can listen to the album by clicking here</a>. <strong>Good News was created entirely by womxn, though has been a rise of female artists over the last few decades, womxn are still grossly underrepresented in the industry as a whole.</strong> As an adopted Taiwanese-American immigrant and queer activist, there are many closed doors that I’ll have to open as I navigate this industry. You better believe that I’m bringing everyone along. <br><br><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3LetUlxYEO0" width="560"></iframe><br>This includes being committed to making sure that the people I work with are paid fairly and this mentality has created a financial strain in my life. <strong>The way the music business exists now does not serve to develop and support working class artists.</strong> To be transparent, I am still currently waiting tables in between shows and projects to support my musical endeavors and would really love to put the apron down for good in the near future. <br><br>This is where you come in, as a <strong>Patron your support allows me to create with more artistic integrity</strong> and less consideration on how to make profitable work. <strong>Your contribution would go towards paying producers and engineers to record more music, directors and crew to make more music videos, to paying musicians for recordings and full band shows and to cover up front costs for merch.</strong> Your support means the world to me, thank you and can't wait to go down this path with you. <br><br><iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/eNTB5V0lTe0" width="560"></iframe><br>
