Every day *Thembinkosi Gumede hopes that a life-changing email will land in his inbox, but every day his hopes are in vain.
"I'm struggling financially. At home, there's no one working, and they're waiting for me to work. And they were hoping that at this point, I would be working so I could start helping out at home," Gumede says.
He is one of 288 unplaced medical graduates waiting for the national Department of Health to place them in a healthcare facility. He needs to complete his medical internship.
