Eleanor (Ellie) West centres her practice on private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Ellie works across a wide range of sectors, and has particular expertise in the health care and life sciences industries.
Ellie regularly advises domestic and international private equity sponsors on transactional matters (including leveraged buy-outs, growth capital investments, add-on acquisitions and the implementation of management incentive plans). She also advises a range of multi-national corporations on cross-border acquisitions, disposals and restructuring transactions.

- Advised Great Point Partners on the sale of Softbox Systems, a global provider of temperature controlled packaging (TCP) systems and solutions to the pharmaceutical, life sciences and cold chain logistics industries to CSafe Global, a portfolio company of Frazier Healthcare Partners and Thomas H Lee Partners
- Advised PharmaLex Group and Auctus Capital on the acquisition of Phlexglobal, a leading technology and services organization for clinical and regulatory compliance solutions, from Vitruvian Partners
- Advised WEP Clinical and its founder shareholders in relation to an investment made by The Jordan Company in the WEP Clinical group, a market leader in the design and execution of expanded access and named patient programs
- Advised SIGNA Sports United (SSU), a global sports e-commerce and technology platform, on the acquisition of WiggleCRC, a leading online retailer of specialist bikes and accessories, from Bridgepoint, as part of SSU’s business combination with Yucaipa Acquisition Corporation, a publicly traded special purpose acquisition vehicle, listed on the NYSE
- Advised Ampersand Capital Partners on its majority growth equity investment in Tjopack Netherlands B.V., a global contract manufacturing organisation (CPO) for the pharmaceutical industry headquartered in the Netherlands
- Advised Universal Health Services, Inc, a leading provider of hospital and healthcare services in the US listed on the NYSE, on its acquisition of Cygnet Health Care, one of the largest providers of behavioural health services in the UK with operations spanning across 150 facilities
- Advised Cygnet Health Care on a series of add-on acquisitions and disposals in the behavioural health sector in the UK
- Advised Fortune Brands Home & Security, Inc, a Fortune 500 company and leader in the home products industry on its acquisition of Aqualisa Products, a leading UK manufacturer of shower products known for its innovation in digital shower systems, from LDC
- Advised Baxter International, Inc. a US-based multinational health care company listed on the NYSE, on its acquisition of a motion sickness drug product portfolio
- Advised Great Point Partners on the sale of Clinical Supplies Management (CSM), a leading provider of clinical drugs packaging, labelling and logistics solutions to the life sciences, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, to Clinigen Group PLC
- Advised Ampersand Capital Partners on its minority growth equity investment in GenDX an innovator in molecular diagnostic kits and analysis software for transplantation and companion diagnostics headquartered in the Netherlands
- Advised Great Point Partners and CorEvitas, on the acquisition of Health IQ, a leader in real world data and digital solutions for the healthcare and life sciences industries
- Advised H.I.G. Capital and Valtris Specialty Chemicals on the acquisition of INEOS ChloroToluenes (ICT), a leading producer of chlorinated toluenes and related derivatives used in coatings, personal care and pharmaceutical applications and INEOS Baleycourt, a manufacturer of products for the polymer additives, lubricant, renewable energy and food markets, from INEOS Enterprises
- Advised The SOCOTEC Group, Cobepa and Five Arrows Principal Investments (FAPI) on the acquisition of Environmental Services Group (ESG), a provider of TIC services to the construction and infrastructure industries, from 3i Group PLC (3i) and funds managed by 3i.
- Advised Great Point Partners on the leveraged buy-out of Softbox Systems, a global provider of temperature controlled packaging systems (TCP) and solutions to the pharmaceutical industry. Advised Great Point Partners and Softbox Systems, on a series of add-on acquisitions in the TCP sector including the acquisitions of Tempack Packaging (Spain and Latam), TP3 Global (UK and India) and Cold Tech Systems (Latam)
