THIS EVENT IS AT THE ROSE AND ALFRED MINIACI PERFORMING ARTS CENTER AN AFFILIATED VENUE OF BROWARD CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS ON THE NOVA SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY CAMPUS.

Lauren Groff, who has been called one of the generation’s “finest living writers” by The New York Times, will take the stage to share her experiences, inspirations, and creative process that have contributed to her remarkable and award-winning writing career. Attendees will be captivated by Groff’s reflections on the craft of writing and discussion on what influences and informs her best-selling works.

The Vaster Wilds, Groff's latest novel, has been praised by the Los Angeles Times for “reinventing the adventure novel” and promises to be a tense and riveting tale of survival. Attendees can look forward to an engaging discussion about the book and the processes that inform her mastery of the historical fiction genre.

Groff is a three-time National Book Award finalist and The New York Times–bestselling author of the novels The Monsters of Templeton, Arcadia, Fates and Furies, Matrix, and The Vaster Wilds, and the celebrated short story collections Delicate Edible Birds and Florida. She has won The Story Prize, the ABA Indies’ Choice Award, France’s Grand Prix de l’Héroïne, and the Joyce Carol Oates Prize, and has been a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. Her work regularly appears in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and elsewhere. Her work has been translated into thirty-six languages. She lives in Gainesville, Florida.

The Nova Southeastern University Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center has a unique partnership with the Broward County Board of County Commissioners to provide access to its resources not just for NSU students, faculty, and staff, but to anyone living, working or going to school in Broward County.  As a university library and cultural center, the library has something for everyone.
