Metula is the crown jewel of the Galilee panhandle.
an old province, preserving its agricultural characteristics and constantly growing as a province that provides all the needed services to all the residents.
Every day we develop infrastructures, promoting education and cultural events, while nurturing and maintaining active and vibrant communal life.
Since I started my tenure as head of Council developing Metula was my guiding principle.
Our new elementary school construction is nearly complete, as well as a kindergarten center.
We are developing a myraid of tourist and business attractions that would allow the residents to be employed in and around Metula.
A new neighborhood will be built at Mount Tzfia. Peaceful neighborhood with tranquil view towards the Hula Valley. Metula is one of the local councils which is eligible for many investments by the Israeli government.
Metula’s residents are benefiting from a 14% discount of the income tax.
Every year Metula is visited by thousands of tourists, enamored by the relaxed quality-of-life that only such a quiet and peaceful place can provide.
Metula’s lifestyle and proximity to Tel-Hai college draws many students that probably consider Metula as their home, many of which stay as permanent residents and build their life here.
Metula has a very supportive community, based on mutual trust and reliance.
The field of hockey is well-developed in Metula, thanks to the Canada Center that maintains the only standard ice hockey rink in Israel, training the Israeli ice hockey team.
A new boardwalk was recently built alongside the Iyon stream, with a wonderful lookout viewing the Tahana waterfall.
In the wintertime the white Mount Hermon is visible with the Hula Valley from the south and the Iyon Valley from the north.
The spectacular view even includes the snowy Chouf mountains in Lebanon.
