Board and Commission Appointments by the Attorney General

From time to time, the Attorney General is called upon to make appointments to various boards and commissions in the Commonwealth created by the Legislature. These appointments vary in length of term and degree of commitment required. Below find more information about applying for a board or commission appointment by the Attorney General.

While some board and commission positions are paid, most are not. Many appointments require particular experience or subject matter expertise. Examples of such boards and commissions are listed below. To ensure that qualified and interested members of the public are considered for these appointments, the Office of the Attorney General (AGO) invites you to submit a notification of interest. We will review these submissions and may be in touch with you to discuss appointment to a specific commission in line with your experience or expertise as openings arise. The AGO strives to ensure that those appointed to serve on boards and commissions reflect the diversity of the communities within the Commonwealth. We encourage individuals from a broad spectrum of backgrounds to apply. Please submit your contact information below, along with a brief statement of your background and interests. Notifying the AGO of your interest does not guarantee appointment.
