This is the 32nd article in the Profiles in Knowledge series featuring thought leaders in knowledge management. Tony Rhem is a consultant, educator, writer, and the author of Knowledge Management in Practice and UML for Developing Knowledge Management Systems. I first met Tony at KMWorld 2016, and we met again at the 2017 Midwest KM Symposium in Cleveland. I suggested that he contribute a chapter to Knowledge Management Matters, which he did.

Tony regularly presents the application and theory of Software Engineering Methodologies, Knowledge Management, and Artificial Intelligence. He consults with venture capitalist and investment firms, specifically pertaining to technology innovations, proven practices, and trends. Tony serves as a KM advisor, KM strategist, Information Architect, and KM governance strategist. He has played an integral role in the successful implementation of KM systems, KM methods, and KM strategies in multiple industries.
