Last week marked the one-year anniversary of the passage of the American Rescue Plan, which included $39.6 billion to institutions of higher education through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). HEERF funds have helped mitigate the pandemic’s impact on student persistence and achievement. Using HEERF, La Salle University has provided $5.9 million in emergency financial aid to more than 3,800 students to help them through the pandemic. #AmericanRescuePlan

“FIND A WAY”—That was the message at KIPP DuBois Charter School, where I spoke to nearly two-dozen #LaSalleBound students. Explorers know best how to find their way. I congratulate students from KIPP and two other schools I visited recently—Lincoln High School and Mount St. Joseph Academy—on their acceptances to La Salle University. We will see you on our beautiful campus soon!
