Cute. I tried to do the” medical Director” insurance utilization review thing. Lasted 3 months and we were done with each other. Experimental defined (IMO) as no relevant research in any land mark journals older than 4-5 years ago, clerical errors that we could not educate surgeons office staff ( accept 63030 discectomy but if minimally invasive or endoscopic ( assisted..sic) needed to reject because described the unaccepted (pain procedure re: per cutaneous blind reomoval of ligament flavin with a Pituitary Rongeur)procedure. We the surgeon’s office note in front of us, we could not educate office staff and required to reject and not explain more than the required Procedure was experimental. When peer to peer discussion followed I just wanted to vomit explaining why that patient had to wait two weeks to get their surgery for such idiocy. Yes, I had a L4/5 foraminal fragment and it hurts like all heck. This is such a bogus methodology, I only pray each and every Administrator first hand learns personally how bad this method is antithetical to health CARE
