The objective was to design user-environmentally friendly informational signage system that is accessible to a wide range of users, particularly persons with disabilities in accordance to the ADA (American Disabilities Act) requirements and Universal Design principles. The task was to create a sequence of six (6) signs that would guide and navigate the user from the outer periphery of the campus to the Campus Library Events Room, LIB 121.
One of the main principal functions of an environmental graphic signage, or wayfinding system is to inform and direct people to areas of access and egress to ensure that nobody becomes lost, or disoriented. -
