Here's a little "behind the scenes" into our mortgage calculator design and development process. PS: I agree; it's mind blowing that it starts that way. PPS: This next one is going to be awesome.

At Vonk Digital we really go out of our way to stay in our lane… I speak with many many mortgage pro’s each week. While mortgages are their lane; if you ask them who they tend to do loans for a few different ways their true lane tends to surface. I’m not sure the best way to help convey that having a niche really helps in the long run. The niche can change as you evolve but I see the ones that have wrapped their heads around this really get into a groove with their messaging and efforts.

As a business owner and builder for most of my career; I never pass judgement on another business person if they decide there is something they can do to better serve them and their business. Even if it's a client that leaves us. I see our clients (present and past) as my business "peers" first. And I also understand that no solution is perfect for everybody in any category of business. But it does feel good to get an email or text like this. Welcome back! PS: Yes I have one of those phone/wallet combo cases as you can see in the photo. Don't hate on them until you try one out for yourself.

I took this photo at 8:13pm on Christmas. Everyone was winding down watching Christmas Vacation (A family favorite.) 10 minutes later they were all out cold on the couch.  Christmas Day was a success! Now it’s time for “Santa” to get back to work :) I’m back at the “workshop” today and have had some great conversations. One with someone focusing on SEO in 2024 and two brand new mortgage brokerages that are launching at the start of the year. They have 3 different plans and are in three different markets but the common threads I see in them are: They all have their own plan for 2024. They are all proactively working today to make their business better. They are all excited and motivated. And for that reason they are all a good fit for us in my mind. I love working with motivated people. Passion is contagious. PS: They all found out about Vonk Digital from different places and all then did their own research on our website and then booked a call. The order is important; research happens before ever booking a call. This is where opportunites are won and lost. This is the same process your borrowers use to discover you, do their own research, and then decide to reach out. Including the 8:30 call that I was ready for that skipped :) Whether you use us or not it's a good idea to put some effort into making your web presence accurately showcase your expertise. Office renovation in progress! It feels like I am working in a condemned building right now mid paint removal. I have been in the same office since the winter of 2020. It’s fine. Nothing fancy. I have had a wood backdrop for a while and decided to “renovate” the office to freshen up the look and feel as I film a lot from here and spend a lot of time away from home in here. New furniture, new layout, and a fresh coat of paint. Simple. I can get by with a ‘fine’ office because my business is predominantly done online. So our showpiece is our website. If you have a fancy office and a “fine” web presence or "no web presence" you may be focusing on the wrong things right now. Some of our clients are working from their home office right now and none of their borrowers care at all. The world has changed. Put your office rent costs back in to your pricing. Week 1 of the 4-week course we hosted with Scott Schang went great. We have 3 weeks to go. My takeaways from Week 1: The hour slot should be 90 minutes because there is a lot to cover on each topic. Scott is very tactical which is what attracted me to want to do this with him. We got crunched on time at the end of week 1 on the tech deployment steps. The day was broken up between strategy/thought process of "WHY", and then "What" to do, and then "How". Very easy to consume. Often you see attendance at the beginning of a live event drop off by the end for various reasons. 100% of the attendees were still there at the end.
