  • The Sullivan County Legislature, Sullivan County Center for Workforce Development and Sullivan BOCES celebrated the graduation of 13 locals last night from the Automotive Technician program, for which the County paid all tuition. Open just to adults selected from dozens of applicants, the class spanned 8 weeks and covered vehicle maintenance, repair and safety issues. Several grads are already hired or being hired, and all of them have a much brighter professional future (and a full set of Craftsman tools). This is the third such class to be paid for by the County in order to build up our local workforce - prior classes included welding and construction trades, and more will be offered later this year. Pictured from the left are grads Justin Murillo, Jose Rivera, instructor Andy Hessinger, Isaias Ortiz, Efrain Rivera, Christopher Clark, James Blair, Jordy Najera, Aidan Healy, Daniel Johnston, Timothy Brown, CWD Director Loreen Gebelein, Christopher Baroud and Wilber Mazariego.
