Subject: | Gas Tax Holiday |
Pennsylvanians need relief from pain at the pump. As more and more people get back on the roads, gasoline prices have increased from their pandemic lows. Unfortunately, rising geopolitical tensions may push these prices higher, as certain foreign oil exporters seek to inflict pain on American consumers. Pennsylvanians are paying 58 cents in gas taxes per gallon of gasoline. As of this writing, the average per gallon gas price in Pennsylvania is $3.71. These high gas prices are simply unaffordable for many Pennsylvanians. Pennsylvanians need relief at the pump—and they need it soon. That’s why I will be introducing legislation putting a six-month pause on the state gas tax. Please join me in relieving pain at the pump by supporting this legislation. |
