A friend comments:

I have a very high level security clearance. I take extensive training every year and receive regular communication from my employer’s security office multiple times throughout the year about my responsibilities with classified data. We are extremely careful with how we handle classified material, definitely to the point where we could execute the duties of our jobs much more quickly if we didn’t have to be.

A case in point: one of our classified spaces has a printer. It’s fine to have a printer in a classified space and it’s fine to use it to print things (I mean, that’s the point of having it). There’s a procedure, though, one part of which is to fill out the log when you print something. A few months ago security did an audit of the print jobs on that printer, compared it to the log, and noticed that one person who printed one sheet did not note it on the log. The entire team (over 100 people) had to attend two security meetings and was barred from using that space for a week while security conducted a full investigation. The kicker? The data that was printed wasn’t even classified. Didn’t matter, the procedure wasn’t followed so we all had to face the consequences.

I don’t really have a point other than to say that it’s infuriating to be such a good steward of classified data and then see that fucking shithead be so incredibly careless with it. I had vast stretches of time when I worked on my previous aircraft program when I couldn’t really tell my family what I’d done all day and this fucking guy is just like, “I need an ice breaker. Oh!” And his cult followers are ready to give him access to all of it all over again. It’s absolutely maddening.

It is, but the fact that Trump treats the most highly classified information as social mixer gossip will not affect a single vote in next year’s election. Because it’s a cult.

Also, but her emails.
