20 years after I wrote The Obesity Myth, I’m more convinced than ever that the moral panic over fat in this country has very little to do with public health, and everything to do with using fat panic as a conduit for all the standard class, race, and gender prejudices.
Also too, note how the whole Q cinematic universe is now just a standard set of assumptions in the mainstream right wing cultural discourse. (David Brooks says I just created three more fascists by using the phrase “cultural discourse.”)
