The Kathleen Ivy Memorial Trees Fund

Kathleen asked that in lieu of flowers or a funeral, she wanted to have a tree planting ceremony.

This fund will go to buying the trees, a memorial bench, and and securing the space.

The ceremony will take place in the late spring/early summer to give the trees the best chance to thrive.

(We are currently aiming for a place on the CSU campus where she worked for almost 3 decades ($1500 for one memorial tree; $5000 memorial bench); with a secondary site on family land near Colorado Springs where she grew up. (The black forest burned a few years ago, and Kathleen loved the idea of being part of the renewal of the forest. If we are able to exceed our goal, we will be able to plan multiple trees in her honor.) 

 

 

We will also be collecting short reflections from friends and family to add to a digital memorial, we will share.
