The Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York CIT program is a power-packed journey, tailor-made for Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts who are ready to embrace leadership while enjoying unforgettable camp experiences. Emerging leaders will participate in workshops, honing skills in communication, teamwork, and decision-making, guided by our experienced camp staff. But its not all about training: youll also engage in a whirlwind of camper activities, from creative arts & crafts to thrilling outdoor adventures, where youll discover the art of creating a positive camp environment.
The CIT II program provides Ambassadors with advanced leadership skills to master the art of camp program planning and prepares them for a role as a camp counselor. All candidates for CIT II will be interviewed by the Camp Director prior to being accepted into this program.
We invite you to enroll your child in the CIT 2 program for the upcoming summer of 2024. To secure a position, complete the registration process and submit a $50 deposit. Within two weeks, our Camp Director will coordinate a virtual interview with your child, the CIT 2 candidate. This interview will delve into program expectations, the role of CIT 2s in the camp community, and provide an opportunity for your child to present a camp activity. Upon completion of the interview, you will be notified of your child's acceptance status via email. Successful candidates can proceed to submit the remaining balance and fulfill the necessary camp forms for the summer season.
