The Florida Rural Water Association (FRWA) has partnered with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for over thirty years to present the annual Focus on Change seminars. These sessions are designed to provide the most current regulatory information available to utilities. FRWA is pleased to announce that the DEP Water, Wastewater, and Operator Certification Sections will be participating.
Each Focus on Change is different so you can receive CEUs even if you attended sessions in year's past. Remember that CEUs cannot be awarded until the Administrative fee is received. FRWA cannot accept personal checks or purchase orders as payment. There will be no registration payment taken at the door or taken over the telephone, so get your registration and payment in early!
The Florida Rural Water Association is very concerned about your safety while attending this year’s sessions. We will make every effort to follow the CDC guidelines for your safety.
Classrooms will be set so that you will have ample room to be able to keep a safe distance while being able to get the most from the presentations. In consideration of others, we ask attendees to wear their masks while in the facility. If you do not have a mask, we will be happy to supply one.
Hand sanitizer will be available for your use. Please feel free to use it generously and as often as you see fit in order to comply with the CDC guidelines.
By following the guidelines of the CDC and with your cooperation, FRWA hopes to keep the water and wastewater operators of Florida informed and offer continuing education units at a reasonable price.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From the North on I-75 take exit 354 onto US 27 toward Ocala, then turn left onto NW Blitchton Rd. Go 2.9 miles and turn left onto NW Pine Ave. In 0.6 miles, turn right onto NW 20th St. The destination will be on your left after 0.9 miles.
From the South on I 75, take exit 354 onto US 27 toward Ocala/Williston. In 0.3 miles turn right onto NW Blitchton Rd. toward Ocala. In 2.8 miles turn left onto NW Pine Ave. In 0.6 miles turn right onto NW 20th St. The destination will be on your left after 0.9 miles. For additional directions go to http://www.marioncountyfl.org/departments-agencies/departments-a-n/extension-service. Please park by the livestock arena. No Parking will be allowed in front of office.
