The Florida Rural Water Association (FRWA) has partnered with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for over thirty years to present the annual Focus on Change seminars. These sessions are designed to provide the most current regulatory information available to utilities. FRWA is pleased to announce that the DEP Water, Wastewater, and Operator Certification Sections will be participating.
Each Focus on Change is different so you can receive CEUs even if you attended sessions in year's past. Remember that CEUs cannot be awarded until the Administrative fee is received. FRWA cannot accept personal checks or purchase orders as payment. There will be no registration payment taken at the door or taken over the telephone, so get your registration and payment in early!
The Florida Rural Water Association is very concerned about your safety while attending this year’s sessions. We will make every effort to follow the CDC guidelines for your safety.
Classrooms will be set so that you will have ample room to be able to keep a safe distance while being able to get the most from the presentations. In consideration of others, we ask attendees to wear their masks while in the facility. If you do not have a mask, we will be happy to supply one.
Hand sanitizer will be available for your use. Please feel free to use it generously and as often as you see fit in order to comply with the CDC guidelines.
By following the guidelines of the CDC and with your cooperation, FRWA hopes to keep the water and wastewater operators of Florida informed and offer continuing education units at a reasonable price.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From the West traveling on I-10, take exit 56 onto Hwy 85 towards Niceville, then travel 12 miles and turn slight right onto Hwy 123 South, then travel 4.8 miles and take a slight right onto 85 south, travel 7.7 miles and turn right onto Perry Ave. SE. then in 0.5 miles turn onto Hwy 98, travel 0.7 miles and turn left into the convention centers parking lot.
From the East traveling on I-10, take exit 70 onto SR-285 towards Niceville, travel 18 miles and then turn right onto John Sims Pkwy E. then travel 1.5 miles and take a slight left onto Government Ave. In 12 miles take a slight left onto Hwy 98, travel 0.8 miles and turn left into the convention centers parking lot.
