Father Emil F Dinkel, 78, died Friday, Feb 20, 2004, at St Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, OH.
He was born Nov 13, 1925, in Walker to Peter A and Anna Mary (HaberKorn) Dinkel.
He entered Brunnerdale Seminary, Canton, OH on Sept 10, 1940, and was incorporated with the Society of the Precious Blood, Dec 3, 1947.
He was ordained a priest on May 18, 1952, in St Charles Center, Carthagena, OH. He served in Chile, South America, from 1954 to 1966. He returned to South America in 1973 until 1978. He served in Michigan, Oklahoma, Ohio, California, Kansas and North Dakota. He served at Sorrowful Mother Shrine in Bellevue at the time of his death.
Survivors include two brothers, Ralph Dinkel, Oakley, and Virgil Dinkel, Glen Burnie, MD; and a sister, Arnita Scheck, Victoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Edward, Alfred J and Alvin C; and three sisters, Sister Applonia Dinkel, Sister Lioba Dinkel and Anna Laura Miller.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St Michael Catholic Church, Bellevue, and a second service at 2 p.m. Friday at St Charles Center, Carthagena; burial in St Charles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel at Sorrowful Mother Shrine, Bellevue.
