Qualified Workers COVID-19 Vaccinations

Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County will be hosting a vaccination clinic specifically for individuals who qualify for COVID-19 vaccinations based on their occupation.

The Vaccination Clinic is by prior appointment only, no walk-up service will be provided.

(Please note: You must show work ID or other documentation to show proof of inclusion in this phase. If you do not have organization identification, please bring a recent pay stub or a letter from your employer as proof of employment. Identification will be checked at the door. You will not be able to receive a vaccine without it.)

If you are unable to come at this time, please visit Public Health’s website at www.phdmc.org where you will find information about additional vaccine clinic dates and times.

Please be aware, to receive the vaccine, you must not have received any other vaccine in the last 14 days, and you must not have received antibody treatment in the last 90 days. If you have additional questions regarding whether you should receive the vaccine, please consult with your physician

Qualifying Occupations

Must be an Ohio Resident OR Work in Ohio

Medical Services

  • EMS responders / Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) / DMAT
  • Long-term care facilities (nursing home and assisted living) staff and residents
  • Freestanding emergency departments not vaccinated within the hospital systems
  • Group homes staff and residents
  • Residential care facilities staff and residents
  • Home Health care staff
  • All Medical and Clinical Staff Who Are Providing Direct Patient Care
  • Mental health independent living facilities
  • Shelter staff
  • Shelter residents who are in shelter for 30 days or more
  • Healthcare Groups working in schools.
  • Healthcare providers, patient facing, not vaccinated through a hospital

Childcare Services

  • Administrators, lead and assistant teachers, and substitutes enrolled in Ohio's Professional Registry who are currently working in open childcare and pre-Kindergarten programs
  • Licensing specialists employed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services or county Job and Family Services agencies.

Funeral Services

  • Embalmers/Morticians
  • Funeral home directors
  • Cremator operators
  • Apprentices

Law Enforcement and Corrections Officers

  • Sworn law enforcement officers and peace officers who have first responder or direct supervisory responsibilities. These persons must be active-duty, i.e. working a regular minimum of 20 hours a week. This does not include retired, "special," or reserve persons.
  • Corrections staff, including probation and parole staff, who provide direct services to an adult or juvenile inmate or a court-supervised individual.
  • Individuals who have a valid active firefighting certificate in the State of Ohio who are active members or employees of a recognized Ohio fire department. This does not include retired, emeritus, or reserve individuals.

Accessibility

Patients with limited mobility can be dropped off and picked up at the front entrance of the Convention Center. Wheelchairs and assistance getting inside will be provided.

Free Vaccinations

Our vaccinations are administered completely free and medical insurance is not required.

Vaccine Availability

Please note that vaccine doses are extremely limited at this time. If you are unable to come to your scheduled appointment, we ask that you please cancel it as soon as possible so that we can contact someone else to fill that appointment.
