This program is for young self-identified women, trans and non-binary youth who want to explore their unique strengths and values and learn more about to put their leadership into action with confidence. Thank you for saying yes to this opportunity! We are so excited to work with you.
The current health crisis has meant that we’ve all needed to adapt. We’re all figuring out how to learn and stay socially connected while social distancing. We at Minerva are in the same boat, and we’re excited to offer Learning to Lead virtually for the first time ever. Thank you for being part of this new experience. We are really in this together!
We are asking that for the duration of your week with Learning to Lead that we have your full commitment. We know that many responsibilities take your time and energy—family, school, work, volunteering, social obligations, just to name a few. For the five days you will be participating in this program, we invite you to carve out dedicated time for each of the five sessions. The curriculum is designed in a certain way to build on the ideas from the last session, so attendance in every session is important.
What we offer in exchange for this commitment:
• Self-Knowledge: identify your values and how to leverage your strengths
• Being a Leader: learn what it means to be a leader and inspire others
• Increasing Confidence: practice sharing your ideas and taking risks
• Being Authentic: embrace and accept your unique self
• Creating Connections: build relationships with other students from across the province as well as a group of inspiring mentors
