2024 Grant and Donation Match Opportunities
The Agent Charitable Fund (ACF) believes in unleashing the power of Farm Bureau agents, clients and partners to end hunger in Michigan through education, financial support and community engagement.

Agents for Change
New in 2024, Agents for Change is a joint initiative between the Agent Charitable Fund and the Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies (MFBFoC), aimed to support agents’ pursuit of school-based charitable giving. This grant awards up to $2,000 to Michigan schools to support MFBFoC in-school initiatives aimed at alleviating childhood hunger through agricultural education (ex - FARM crates, FARM Science Lab) or school-based hunger-relief programming (ex - snack or in-school backpack programs).
Agents who wish to apply for a grant must:
Review the Agents for Change Activation Guide and gather school contact information, demographics, a current W-9, MFBFoC programming history, and ongoing hunger-relief program details
If pursuing agricultural education programming through MFBFoC, agents must review the MFB Program Info Guide on available offerings.
Contact the Farm Bureau County Administrative Manager (CAM) associated with the school district to arrange time to provide the county Farm Bureau with an update on the chosen school and type of program support to be provided.
Review the Agents for Change Grant Guidelines and proceed to the application below. Applications must be initiated and completed by a Farm Bureau Insurance agent who has been with the company longer than one year.
Feeding the Future Grants
Feeding the Future is a grant program facilitated by the Agent Charitable Fund. This grant awards up to $3,000 to Michigan nonprofits with programs aimed at combatting food insecurity among Michigan children and families. Preference is given to requests that directly purchase and distribute food in the community. Agents who wish to apply for a Feeding the Future grant must -
Review the 2024 Feeding the Future Grant Guidelines to ensure your nominated program or project qualifies for a grant.
Gather the name, email and phone number of a contact person at your nominated nonprofit.
This is a two-part application that must be initiated by a Farm Bureau Insurance agent. Once the agent completes their section, they will enter the name, email and phone number for the contact person above. The nonprofit will then receive a link to complete the application. Once both sections are complete and submitted, the application will be considered complete.

If you are a brand new agent who contracted in the last twelve months - please apply through Feeding the Future
For all other agents - if you are looking to support a local school district - please apply through Agents for Change
For all other agents - if you are looking to support a local nonprofit - please apply through Feeding the Future
Please remember - all applications must be initiated by a Farm Bureau Insurance agent or agent staff using a Farm Bureau email address. Agent responses are considered when making grant determinations, and it is important for agents to clearly state, in their own words, why they support their nominated project or program. Applications that are initiated by a third party, regardless of whether or not you know about the application or questions, may not be considered.
2024 Evaluation Schedule
Grants will be evaluated six times a year with the following application deadlines. If an application is submitted after an application deadline, it will be evaluated in the next deadline. No applications will be accepted after Friday, November 15, 2024.
