School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Internship: Under the supervision of a credentialed speech and language pathologist, the SLPA intern will help with the therapy for individuals and small groups of students. Additionally, the SLPA intern will learn to develop lesson plans and therapy ideas based on IEP goals, document therapy data, take attendance, and complete clerical duties associated with an SLPA position. Interns must be enrolled in an SLPA program at a credentialed college or university. Depending on availability, school placement may be at a preschool, elementary, or secondary school site.
