14-year-old boy shot in leg by man during robbery in northwest Houston; suspect still on the run

HOUSTON – A ShotSpotter alert leads officers to a shooting that left a 14-year-old boy injured Saturday morning in northwest Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The shooting was reported at 2:50 a.m. in the 6400 block of Antoine Drive.

The teen was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.

Investigators learned that the teen was robbed and the suspect, described as a white male with a beard, fled the scene with his money.
