CLEVELAND, Ohio – A 14-year-old girl was killed in her bed after someone fired several shots into her home in the city’s Glenville neighborhood on Sunday, police say.
The girl was shot about 11:58 p.m. at her house on Columbia Avenue, near East 102nd Street. Cleveland firefighters administered aid to the teenager, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said a vehicle pulled into the driveway of the home, and someone from inside of it fired shots into the house. The teen was lying in her bed when she was struck by a bullet, police said. No one has been charged.
The mother of the teen who was shot, and three other children were inside of the home during the shooting. They were not injured.
