After a 2 year hiatus one of our favorite community events returns. Visit with our CBI host families for a fun way to fulfill the mitzvah of sitting in the Sukkah.

Simchat Torah Celebration

Join the CBI community as we celebrate Simchat Torah, the end of the holiday season and the ability for us to all be together. Evening will feature dancing & singing with the Torah, a chance to schmooze and cool treats for all ages.

Union County S'lichot 

Saturday, September 17th @ 8:00 PM

CBI Sanctuary

Begin the formal High Holiday season and join together with congregations across Union County for our traditional joint Selichot service here at CBI. We'll come together for a S'lichot program and service as we prepare for the High Holy Days while sharing Hasidic stories from Ukraine and stories of Ukranian Jews today. We will also be joined by Gary Aidekman, JDC Board Member, who will update us on the work that JDC is doing in Ukraine and the they are giving to the refugees. 

We'll begin the evening with Havdalah, followed by the program and concluding with S'lichot services, offering liturgy, music and reflections to prepare us for Rosh Hashanah.

Join your friends (ages 0 -5) & their families at CBI for a celebration filled with singing, stories and treats for Shabbat & Rosh Hashanah.

Outdoor Shofar Blowing

Join members of the CBI and surrounding community in hearing the sounds of the shofar. CBI shofar blowers will sound the shofar in front of CBI so that all can participate in the mitzvah of hearing the call of the shofar, safely, outdoors.

No registration necessary, all are welcome.


 

                                                           

Erev Rosh Hashanah Family Service

Sunday, September 25th @ 5:30 PM

Outdoors in CBI Tent

All are welcome to join us outdoors at CBI to begin the new year together! This service mixes traditional liturgy, holiday music, and a story to set the tone for the holiday for kids of all ages.

TASHLICH

Monday, Septmeber 26th @ 5:00 PM

Location: Brookside Park

Tashlich is a ritual to help prepare us spiritually for the new year. Please join us by the water at Brookside Park for this holiday experience.

No registration necessary.


 

CBI Religious School Grade Gatherings

Though Religious School will already be in full swing, we want to give the opportunity for our students (and their families) to get a chance to know each other better and spend some time together.

Join the CBI Men's Club in their annual tradition of putting up the CBI Sukkah
