Dr. Alexcis Ford is a Harvard trained urogynecologist/female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeon who is passionate about providing holistic, woman-centered care to her patients.

Dr. Ford is exceptionally skilled in all modalities of minimally invasive surgery, including robotics, traditional laparoscopy, and vaginal surgery. She has extensive experience with both surgical and nonsurgical treatment of a wide array of pelvic floor disorders. She specializes in both native tissue (no mesh) and mesh procedures for the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse, and performs a variety of procedures for the treatment of urinary incontinence, including bladder Botox therapy, sacral neuromodulation, mesh sling placement, as well as native tissue sling placement. She also specializes in the management of pelvic pain, including vaginal mesh removal, as well as treatment of fecal incontinence and rectovaginal/vesicovaginal fistula repairs.

Dr. Ford is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and board eligible in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery/Urogynecology/Female urology. She completed her medical school education at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, graduating in the top 10%ile of her class. She completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Harvard affiliated integrated residency program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital, during which time, she served as an administrative chief resident. She has completed an ACGME accredited fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Emory University.

Dr. Ford has received several honors during her education, including membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Society, several residency and fellowship teaching awards, as well as numerous surgical excellence awards. She has presented her research at many national conferences and has published in national and international journals, as well as authored a book chapter. She is eager to provide top quality care to women of the Greater Atlanta Area.
