Holiday For Heroes
Holiday for Heroes is an annual local initiative to care for and honor our South Florida service members and veterans. Every year, the American Red Cross in South Florida leads a series of projects throughout the holiday season, beginning on Veteran's Day through the New Year. We invite you to partner with the Red Cross to help spread joy to our local heroes and their families that have so honorably served our country this holiday season. The Holiday Care Packages for Heroes initiative provides the community with the opportunity to donate items for care packages to military members and local area veterans that are in hospitals or nursing homes for the holidays. These items are placed inside a holiday stocking hand-sewn by volunteers. The American Red Cross South Florida Region, together with lead partner Arthrex, Inc. and other sponsors, assembles and delivers these stuffed holiday stockings for military members and local area veterans who are away from their families during the holidays.
