Bryce Young is now Alabama’s bronze standard for award-winning quarterbacks. Young is Alabama’s first quarterback to take home the Heisman Trophy. He’s the Crimson Tide’s second consecutive Heisman winner, as his former teammate, wide receiver DeVonta Smith, won the award in 2020. Smith’s video tribute to Young was one of the highlights of Saturday night’s Heisman Awards ceremony.
Bart Starr, Scott Hunter, Joe Namath, Kenny Stabler, Greg McElroy, AJ McCarron, Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagavoiloa and Mac Jones. Y’all killed it. You’re all Alabama football legends. Give it up for the new swag leader in the Crimson Tide clubhouse.

Young signed with Alabama as “The Chosen One,” Nick Saban’s highest rated quarterback. The calm, cool and collected sophomore QB adds the Heisman to a truckload of other awards, including the Davey O’Brien Award, The Maxwell Award and the AP national player of the year award.
Congratulations to Alabama’s historic Iceman, The Bryceman.
Props to Alabama’s Will Anderson who should have been in New York as a Heisman finalist to share some spotlight with Young.
