Jessica Lewis joined the ACLU of Massachusetts as a staff attorney in January 2019. Prior to joining staff, Jessica was a legal fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center in the LGBT Rights / Special Litigation practice group, where she focused on litigating cases against hate groups. Jessica also previously served as a legal intern at the ACLU of Michigan, where she assisted with cases related to the Flint Water Crisis.

Jessica has a law degree from Harvard Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Howard University. Jessica is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, having served in Benin as an English teacher, and a former White House Intern under President Obama’s administration.
