This program offers awards to students pursuing LPN, RN, LPN teaching or master’s or doctoral nursing education who are willing to stay in West Virginia.
West Virginia Nursing Scholarship Program
The West Virginia Nursing Scholarship program is for LPN, RN, LPN teaching certificate, and master’s or doctoral nursing education students. In exchange for receiving the scholarship, participants agree to complete a service obligation in West Virginia. The program is a joint project by the West Virginia Center for Nursing and the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission.
Award amounts vary each year based on the availability of funds and may be less than the maximum amount established in WV State Code.

How to Apply
Application are accepted between April 15 through June 1 each year. Awards are made through a competitive process. Complete application materials must be submitted before the deadline.
