PAYMENT OPTIONS:
IN PERSON: Memberships can be purchases at the Sumers Rec membership desk using a credit/debit card or Bear Bucks. Cash and checks are not accepted. You must have your WashU ID or a photo ID.

ONLINE: Anyone with a WUSTL Key can purchase a membership in the online rec store using a credit/debit card.

PAYROLL DEDUCTION: WashU faculty and staff who commit to an annual membership can pay through a monthly payroll deduction. Payroll deductions will be made in monthly installments of $27.50 for the first eight months of the 12-month membership. Enroll in payroll deduction in person or online.

REFUND POLICY:

For "paid in full" memberships, a pro-rated refund is available; however, it incurs a 25 percent administrative fee. For payroll deduction memberships, a refund request will simply result in the termination of any future payroll deductions--there will be no reinstatement of past deductions. An administrative fee of 25 percent will be applied to refunds for products or services in cases where an exception is granted.  To request any refund, please email rec@wustl.edu.

GUEST PASSES:

Members may purchase passes for guests at the rate of $10 per day per person. Guest passes are valid for the operating hours of the day they are activated. There is a limit of three guests per day for each member. Please note that all guests must be at least 18 years old. Each guest must be accompanied by a sponsoring member and must present a photo ID at the entrance during each visit to the facility. Members will be held responsible for guest actions.

ALUMNI:
At Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), alumni members are granted access to the university's recreational facilities only upon completion of a degree. This policy ensures that access to the recreational center is reserved for individuals who have been formally affiliated with the university through academic achievement. By restricting access to alumni who have earned a degree, WashU maintains a supportive environment for current students while still providing opportunities for graduates to stay connected to the university community and its resources.

SPOUSE/PARTNER MEMBERSHIPS:
Any spouse or partner that resides at the same address as a WashU student, faculty/staff, basic services contractor, or retiree is eligible to purchase a membership. For an alumni spouse/partner enrollment, the alumni sponsor must have an active membership. To enroll in a membership, the WashU "sponsor" must accompany the spouse/partner to the Sumers Rec Center and provide official documentation demonstrating shared residency and relationship. Proof of relationship is a legal or financial document. (Examples of proof of relationship: marriage license, voided checks from a joint checking account). Spouse/partner members will be issued an access card they must present at the entrance during each visit. Renewals for spouse/partner memberships must be made in person at the member services desk inside the Sumers Rec Center.

COLLEGE DEPENDENT MEMBERSHIPS:

Any dependent that is currently enrolled at another college or university and resides at the same address as a WashU student, faculty/staff, basic services contractor, retiree or alumni is eligible to purchase a membership. To enroll in a membership, the WashU "sponsor" must accompany the dependent to the Sumers Rec Center and present official documentation demonstrating shared residency. The dependent must also present a valid student ID. College dependent members will be issued an access card they must present at the entrance during each visit.  Membership renewals must be made in person at the member services desk inside the Sumers Rec Center.

MINORS/UNDERAGE DEPENDENTS POLICY:
Dependents under the age of 18 are not eligible for a membership. For both risk management and accessibility reasons, minors are not permitted access to indoor activity spaces or Francis Field/Bushyhead Track.

LOCKER ROOM - LOCKER RENTALS:
One of our many membership benefits is our locker room that is conveniently located on our first floor. Members can rent lockers for the semester or on an annual basis. We have three sizes of lockers available to meet your needs: half locker, full size locker, and xl full length locker. Members are able to choose both size and duration of locker upon check out at the Sumers desk located at our main entrance.

PARKING:
There is no parking exclusively reserved for the Sumers Recreation Center; however, there are several nearby parking options available to members. Lot 31 — the surface lot directly in front of the Sumers Rec Center, and Snow Way Garage are the most proximal options. In all surface lots, including Lot 31, general space parking is enforced weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., while red spaces are enforced 24/7. All vehicles are eligible to park in general spaces during weekdays before 7 a.m. or after 5 p.m., or anytime on the weekends. During weekday enforcement hours, guests without permits can park in the visitor spaces in the Snow Way Garage for a fee (see below chart for fees). Parking in Snow Way Garage is free on the weekends. Guests are encouraged to carefully read posted signage before parking anywhere on campus in order to avoid being ticketed. The WashU Office of Recreation does not have the authority to forgive parking citations. There is also plenty of bicycle parking next to the Sumers Rec Center and the U City-Big Bend Metrolink stop is only a five-minute walk from the Sumers Rec Center entrance.
