Let's Talk about Burnout: Empowering Strategies for You and Your Team

Join us for this reward-eligible webinar, which is part of the monthly series of emotional well-being webinars presented by FEAP and Hoos Well, UVA's award-winning employee well-being program.

Do you believe that burnout is an individual problem? Let's talk about it.

In most workplaces, the feeling of over-extension is a norm of everyday professional life, especially in higher education and healthcare, where burnout is a known buzzword.  We may find ourselves participating unknowingly in a competition of busyness, where ultimately, no one or no team wins.

Gallup has found that the top five reasons for burnout relate to work environment and team functioning. This webinar will review the cost, driving dimensions, and stages of burnout and dive into empowering strategies to wisely deploy limited energy and enter into a team conversation, as a team member or a manager.

Learning Objectives

  1. Recognize the driving dimensions and stages of burnout.
  2. Learn empowering strategies to wisely deploy limited energy.
  3. Learn how to talk about burnout and initiate meaningful change.
